Meet The Team
A college student with experience with all sorts of animals
Mariah has always had a passion for working with animals and loves creating bonds with every new personality she meets. She’s worked at dog groomers and boarding facilities for animals. Mariah has also fostered animals who needed love on their final days from the Humane Society. She loves being outdoors and staying active – She likes to joke that she has about as much energy as an Australian Shepherd with the compassion of a Golden Retriever.
A Zookeeper and avid exerciser
Stephanie lives in the J-town area of Louisville. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Zoology from Kentucky Wesleyan College. She & her boyfriend share life with an all-white cat and two dogs, a lab mix and a pit mix. She works as a zookeeper at the Louisville Zoo, taking care of bears, seals, and sea lions. She enjoys staying active with CrossFit and walking, running & hiking in the magnificent local parks of Louisville. Animals have been her passion all her life and she couldn’t imagine doing anything else with her career.
A Louisville Zoo employee and animal lover
Beka loves animals and works at the Louisville Zoo, caring for bears, seals & sea lions. She has a boxer named Belle who is her baby! They enjoy going on walks and snuggling on the couch. She loves being active, working out, and exploring the outdoors.
A Vet Tech whose life is all about her love of animals
Laura has been a vet tech for over 16 years, a job she loves! She has always loved being around animals, especially dogs. When not working, she spends most of her time with her best friend hiking, walking their dogs and watching TV.
Adores all animals
Michelle, (pronounced “me-shel”) loves all animals, but has a special place in her heart for cats and dogs as she has owned several breeds of each in her lifetime.
She is excited to have the opportunity to care for your special fur-baby just as you would with kindness and compassion.
She is a yoga, Pilates and meditation instructor as well as a professional singer for weddings and funerals. These skills have developed a calm nature and caring disposition that can be applied in the caring of our furry friends, especially in times of anxiousness or frustration.
She appreciates clients’ entrusting their fur-lives into her care.
Retired to spend more time with her fur-babies
Sarah retired in February 2022 from the central office of the public school system, after a previous career as a newspaper reporter. She is enjoying spending time with her daughters Monica and Amy, her rescue canine Chalupa and his feline siblings Olivia and Calvin. She is grand mom to canines Hazel, Ada and Sadie, and felines Marvin and Lucille.
Sarah has had a love for pets since she can remember and always wanted a dog, but her parents said the five children in the house were enough. So she began walking the neighbors dogs.
She enjoys reading, cooking, travel, writing, family time, being outdoors and the beach.
